How we produce the FolioGreen Care Guides

Last reviewed: November 7, 2026

FolioGreen is software built for interior landscaping and plant maintenance companies. The FolioGreen Care Guides publish practical guides for those companies: care visits and plant condition; rotations, replacements and seasonal colour; and the contracts, pricing and building rules behind client sites.

Where the guides come from

We research each guide from primary sources. These include pesticide and plant health regulators, fire and building codes, legislation, public contracts, standards bodies and official statistics for the jurisdiction the guide covers. We link those sources where we use them and list them at the end of the guide, so you can check the information yourself.

Some guides use an example, a filled-in care record or a calculation to show how a decision works. When that example is illustrative rather than taken from a real client site, the guide says so.

How they are written

We use AI tools to help research and draft the guides. Before a guide goes live, we check it against its sources and our publishing standards.

We write each language edition for its own readers, with local units, currency, institutions and examples. We do not translate guides word for word. A guide about the rules in one state, province or country names that jurisdiction, and reading it in another language does not make those rules apply elsewhere.

FolioGreen Editorial is the publisher byline for the guides. Where a named person has reviewed a guide, the guide says so.

Dates and updates

Every guide shows the date we published it. When we change a guide substantially, for example because a licence requirement, a code or a contract practice has changed, we also show the date of that update. Guides that depend on rules or prices carry a review date, so we know when to check them again.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong, a rule has changed or you think we have missed something, write to support@foliogreen.com. We read every report and correct guides when they need it.

Disclaimer

The guides are general information for interior landscaping and plant maintenance companies. They are not legal, safety, pesticide, engineering, tax or financial advice. They do not replace advice from a qualified professional or from the regulator or building authority responsible for the sites you look after.

Pesticide, plant health and building rules differ by country, state, province and municipality, and they change. Companies remain responsible for meeting the licensing, safety and building rules that apply where they work. Check the official sources we link before you act, and take professional advice where you need it.

We take reasonable care to keep the guides accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every guide is complete, error-free or current in every circumstance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FolioGreen is not liable for loss arising from reliance on the guides. Links to other websites are for reference, and we do not control those sites.
